Korty E0
As Twitter’s nuisance Koerty made a mess of herself while slowly finding her purpose. Did she achieve it? Yes, with pile loads of Nos – very few we were able to witness. Eniola Stella-Maris Olanrewaju, popularly known as Korty EO or Koerty, was born on April 2, 1998, in Southern Nigeria. Growing up in a vibrant household, Korty was exposed to diverse cultural experiences that helped shape her creative outlook and storytelling abilities. Korty pursued higher education at the prestigious University of Ibadan, where she graduated in 2018 with a degree in Computer Science.
Korty’s journey began with modeling in 2017, which introduced her to the creative industry. She soon shifted focus to digital media, joining Zikoko as a video producer, where she developed technical skills and storytelling techniques. Her passion for storytelling and filmmaking led her to launch her own YouTube channel in 2019. The breakthrough came with her interview series “Flow, With Korty” in 2020, which resonated widely due to its authentic and relatable style. Her role at emPawa Africa further expanded her experience in content creation and management, setting the stage for her ongoing success as a filmmaker and digital influencer. She is always taking courses and certifications to improve her craft, including a MasterClass on Creativity and Film by acclaimed filmmaker David Lynch
Korty attempted for several days to secure and film an interview series of “Flow, With Korty’’ with afrobeat superstar Wizkid in Lagos, but despite her efforts, Wizkid declined to participate. This refusal was widely discussed online, and Korty openly called out the snub, which many fans noticed as a rare public disagreement involving the artist. Before her interview with “REMA” she had previously called him out for using a content idea she shared with his team.

More notably, Korty EO had a public outburst on social media after Davido’s team reneged on an agreement to allow her to post a re-edited version of an old interview she had conducted with the singer. Initially, Davido’s team had agreed to let her share the video, but later withdrew permission without clear explanation. Korty took to Twitter (now X) to vent her displeasure, stating she was “not scared of anyone” but chose to avoid conflicts she was not equipped for. She described feeling disrespected by the sudden reversal and criticized the management for their lack of transparency.
Her tweets sparked mixed reactions from fans and observers, with some advising her to respect the artists’ teams’ decisions, while others sympathized with her frustration over the handling of creative content and artist relations.
These incidents underscore the complexities and occasional tensions faced by creators in Nigeria, Despite these challenges, Korty versatility, transparency and commitment to storytelling is making her a prominent figure in Nigeria’s digital space and a rising voice among new generation of African storytellers.
